The idea of the project was due to the need to set up an outdoor green classroom (Green Oasis) with urban beds, in order to be able to conduct lessons in general education subjects and professional subjects, as well as organize formal and informal events.

Science team set up a “Green Oasis” in the backyard of school. A suitable covering was laid in the so far unused backyard – pebbles, ready-made outdoor furniture and plant boxes from pallets, as well as arranged plantings. The central object in the courtyard is raised herbs bed, in which all the herbs have been donated by students and teachers and employees of the technical school.

Thanks to the project and successful cooperation with teachers, experts and students the city has one more environment friendly and sustainable spot and in the city. The local community evaluates this project very positively. All summer, the “Green Oasis” courtyard and urban plant beds were taken care of by the on-duty staff of the technical school. Therefore, the beds and the yard remain green and attractive. The science team have not heard a single response that someone was dissatisfied with the project result.
