Even university students know Pulchra thanks to the course of the University of Udine on sustainable development. The course is structured in 6 modules, subdivided from October 2020 and June 2021. In the perspective of an innovative path of knowledge for the sustainability of the urban environment, the module 6 of the course talks about Pulchra. It involves the Open Schooling approach, promotes the culture of scientific thought as a prerequisite for the development of skills related to problem solving, and critical thinking.
PULCHRA is also present during the World Earth Day. The event on April 22 was organized by The Globe Program, Globe Italia, IISS Bassa Friulana, Labter-Crea and WAYouth. The general theme of the 51st World Earth Day is RESTORE OUR EARTH; for the event in Friuli Venezia Giulia the specific theme was: “Science, School and Community in dialogue for the Earth”.
The event involved the participation of a very wide audience: regional associations, local authorities (Land reclamation authority, ARPA FVG) schools, universities and research centers. During the event, towards the end in the morning session, the European project Pulchra – Science in the City and the projects of the six schools of Friuli Venezia Giulia (Italy) were presented and students of the IISS Bassa Friulana tell us about their Pulchra project concerning the Open Lab in the Pradulin park.
