The Open University of Cyprus (OUC), organized an open multiplier event entitled “Close the Loop” on July 12, 2022. During the event which was held at the Municipal Museum of Ayia Napa Thalassa, the 5 PULCHRA schools – Apeition Lyceum of Agros, Agios Ioannis Lyceum, Ethnomartyras Kyprianos Lyceum, Foti Pitta Lyceum and Paralimni Lyceum – that participated in the project presented their actions and relevant work, and discussed best practices to support sustainable development and urban planning.
The day was greeted by the Mayor of Ayia Napa Municipality, Mr. Christos Zannettou Pieris. Among others, Irene Voukkali – PhD OUC, spoken on the topic “Tomorrow’s cities: challenges and perspectives” and Dr. Giorgos Dimitriou, Professor at the Ecole des Ponts Business School in France addressed the topic “The role of the circular economy and the SDG’s in education”.
